I thought that living at the
"Peppertree Apartments" was going to be very convenient and a very good experience, but it turned into a nightmare. First, everyone was very nice, but once they knew we were staying they laughed at us. The manager doesn't care about you, people broke into some apartments and the manager said she was not responsible for that. Cars have been broken into. At night, people will steal the gas from your car. The landscape looks beautiful, but there are important things that they don't take care of. There is a big gas leak that they have never fixed. If you are taking a shower, be prepared to get burned with the water if your next door neighbor decides to use their water too. The whole apartment shakes when the people upstairs walks. Although there is a security person, no one is ever there when you really need them. People go and enter the pool area, have loud conversations, curse, play ping pong, kick the vending machines, etc., all in the middle of the night disrupting the other tenant's sleep. Also, their laundry room sucks. They don't have enough machines, so people get very mean and take your clothes out of the machines to have theirs instead. Even if your clothes aren't ready. Another thing.... If you are a heavy smoker, this is your place. People smoke everywhere. When they smoke inside their apartment, you can get all the cigarrette smoke in your apartment as well. The apartments share the vents and smoke come through your bathroom's and kitchen's vents. Beware, some people have had their ceiling collapsing because the pipes are so old that they are all rusted and once in a while break and get your stuff wet. Finally, it is very difficult to leave the complex from the tenant's parking lot. You can't see the coming vehicles on the street and accidents always occur. There is no place where you can complain, the manager's boss will never return your calls or faxes. Of course, they know how to play stupid. They breake the rules, but they are very strict about what they want from you. The rent has been increasing too much. No wonder why people are leaving all the time. It's not worth the money they charge you. I think the only good thing I can think of about that place are the two maintainance people who always did their job very efficiently.
