Epidemic at Westlake Village Apartments' From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 12/1/2003 Years at this apartment: 1999 - 2002   http://www.kron.com/Global/story.asp's= 1539264 I remember having respiratory problems too back in 1998 when I lived there on Poncetta Drive. Turns out that molds were growing on our rug due to water leakage coming from the bathroom. The place sucks. Our rent went from $990 a month for a 1 bedroom apartment to almost $1300 in 2-3 years. Rip-off! Other complaints: 1)Heater didnt work half the time and when it did work, there was this nasty ass smell coming out the vents. I thought I was going to die of carbon monoxide poisoning. 2)Occasional insect pest problems 3)Drying and washing machines were sub-standard. Youll need $2 in quarters just to dry your clothes. 4)Ghetto ass thugs in the complex. Don't these people do background checks' 5)No parking! I worked the PM shift and you can forget about finding a spot at Westlake past 11:30 pm. Finally had to settle for a private parking spot that cost me $30 plus a month. 6)Rude and non-professional staff working for Westlake Village Apartments(office secretary types). Theres a couple of housekeepers and maintenance people that I thought were cool and hard working. Id rather shell out $1330 a month on a house mortgage.
