I stayed with Westlake Apartment for almost 4.5 years because of convenience to bart station (we're staying down in Poncetta Drive). During those years, we tolerated the lack of parking space, dealing with the maintenance guys who don't come in on time, the noise at night at the worst part is when we recently moved out. Eventhough I clean the unit, they charged me for the cleaning which goes to more than $500. When I try to dispute those charges, nobody from the Accounting dept wants to talk to me and said that I have to go on queue which will take 5-7 business days to pull out my statement. That's a big lie! How long does it take to pull out your statement from your computer' Horrible customer service and I think they would try to suck up your deposit and will not try to explain it.

Also, I experienced a lot of false fire alarm and at one point I heard one of my neighbor that somebody got arrested coz they found some drug lab in his unit that triggers the fire alarm. Very scary!! Future renters watch out!

What can someone do in that situation? I just moved in and im afraid to live here, but when I moved im sure they will take my deposit after all the bad reviews I have read here..
