Good and bad

I have lived here for about 6 months. I won't miss it when I leave, but the experience isn't all bad. I have found the staff to be helpful with the few problems I have had. It is also a convenient location, easy to get to shopping and the main paths into the city. Also, convenient to the airport.
It is, however, expensive as all get out and the place is, to be honest, very run down. Parking IS a nightmare. Although I have rented a covered space (for $35, which I feel is reasonable), there are times when I cannot get into it as people seem to feel that it's perfectly fine to park across your slot. The flashing lights from all the people double parked in front of the building provide a sort of "sideshow" atmosphere. People do all kinds of stuff in the parking area, especially endless car repairs. And they all have car alarms...on trashy cars that nobody would think of stealing. At least three of them go off on my street every night. The parking situation is going to get worse as the city starts citing people who don't move their cars for street cleaning. If you park on the adjacent streets, you'll get a ticket as well.
Trash is a problem, I think related to the relatively low classes of people who live there. People don't feel shy about pitching furniture, television sets, large packing cartons, etc. wherever they feel like it. If it's blocking your door or stairway, well, too bad for you. The dumpsters are very popular as a free trash removal resource for some of the non-resident locals, so they fill up in a hurry. I think these problems could be improved through better vigilance by maintenance and management.
Good luck.
