I have lived in Westlake Village for three long years and will be moving out this weekend. I cannot wait. It is not possible to convey in words how horrible this place is. During my time there, there have been approximately ten arson fires in my building, an assault on a female resident, car fires, repeated tire slashings and other vandalism to cars, thefts from the laundry, fights, graffiti, and other crime. Despite all of this, management has maintained that the fires are accidental. Yeah, right. A Daly City cop described Westlake Village as a "burglar's paradise". At times, trash has not been picked up for weeks. The grounds are filthy. Once the front door was vandalized and not replaced for months. Despite begging for help, Westlake has done nothing. There are many other lesser problems like very thin walls, constantly broken washers and dryers, incompetent staff and aggressive rent increases. If you are reading this, for the good of you and your family, find some other place to live. You would have to be insane to want to live here once you know what this place is about.
