Please, please, please look elsewhere. Westlake Village property management are dishonest people. They took 90 percent of my deposit although I left the place quite clean and well-kept. I lived here over two years. The recycling/trash area is horribly filthy; tenants dump their unwanted household items in the lobby as well as putting their trash in the recycle bins for maintenance to through away. Westlake allows 3 or more people to live in a one bedroom. You hear loud music from other apartments and cars driving around looking for parking. One neighbor physically threatened another neighbor when asked to turn his loud music down. They raise your rent 8 percent if you have a good job but will raise another tenant half that percentage or nothing at all! They aren't fair across the board. Don't be fooled by the clean look on the outside. If you rent you will be sorry. Tenants don't always use their main door key to enter building. They just snatch the door open and this breaks the call registry. Two positive things: the staff was courteous and maintenance worked hard in my section of the complex to clean up common areas.
