My experience at Westlake was the worst year of my life. In 1 year we had 9 fires in our buildings serious fires that were being lit in the basement. The walls are so thin that you can hear ur neighbors tvs and conversations across the hall way. The elevator never worked it took 2 weeks to get mainentance to come fix something. The windows and walls were so thin and the heating system was so old we had to run it all the time and had heating bills up to 200 dollars a month. i lived in a 2 bedroom place with one roomate i worked graveyards 4 nights a week and he worked days 5 days a week. We would continously get noise complaints for just me and my girl friend or me and my room mate watching tv. Everytime security came by to check on it, it would be just me and my roommate watching tv. They say that quiet hours are rom 10pm to 7 am well on a friday night at 830 we got written up for a noise complaint again for me and my roomate watching tv 1and half hours before quiet hours. Management is horrible at handling anything. WHen i moved out i took pictures and cleaned that place spotless, they said that i was gonna owe them another 300 ontop of my deposit for damages so i printed out california tenant laws for what they can and cant charge you for when moving out. I highlighted certain areas where they illegally charged me and took it into the office not only did i get the 300 i owed them reversed but i got all 500 of my deposit back. I cant say enough bad stuff about this place. Rent when i was there was 1880 i wouldnt move back there even if they offered me my 2 bedroom place back for 1000. PLEASE DONT MOVE INTO wESTLAKE APARTMENTS IT WILL BE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF YOUR LIFE. aLL THE NEIGHBORS WANTED OUT WHEN I FIRST MOVED IN NOW I KNOW WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT

PS THE WASHER AND DRYERS NEVER WORKED IT TOOK WEEKS TO FIX THEM AND THE ELEVATORS NEVER WORKED SO U HAD TO LUG IT UP AND DOWN STARIS. THE PLACE I LIVED IN HAD SUCH A BAD FIRE THAT THE ELEVATOR DIDNT WORK FOR 8 MONTHS AND IT WAS DAMAGED SO BAD THAT IT NEEDED TO BE COMPLETLY REPLACED
