I have lived in numerous Davis apartments from the time I attended U.C. Davis to the present(17 years). After reading some of the preceding negative reviews of other tenants, I question whether or not we are living in the same complex. Firstly, management, regardless of the different teams I have encountered over the past two years, have been very responsive to my needs and requests. They shampooed my carpets after one and one-half years of residence, for FREE! When I requested that they address my bathroom linoleum stains, which were actually quite minor, they replaced it. Quietude' It has been the quietest complex I have ever experienced personally in Davis, except when the neighboring property went through a long period of new construction which was outside Alder Ridge's control. Even so, as a courtesy in response to the noise, they kept my rent at the discounted promotional rate that I had when moving in. Safety' I have a nice imported car. I always leave my car open, windows down during the day. I have at times forgotten and left my car unlocked all night, windows down, with my wallet inside without a problem. Thank god. The units are well constructed, comfortable, spacious. P.S. There is, contrary to another tenants review, a grace period for payment of rent, which is lower than other complexes that are half as nice. To all perspective tenants: Look for yourselves!
