Unlike other reviews, my roommate and I didn't have many noise complaints as we lived far away from the partying atmosphere. Nonethless, what I am most angry about is management's handling of the deposit. Before we moved out, we spent nearly 2 days cleaning the apartment -- returning it to a condition better than we lived in. We never hung any items on the walls. We Never had any stains on the carpets. Yet, from our $400 deposit, we received $32 back. All charges were for "dirty walls" and "dirty carpets." They conveniently sent us the deposit check right when school started (which is illegal, you only get 3 weeks in California Penal Code), in order to discourage us from complaining. I talked to the manager, and she absolved herself from any responsiblity and told us to contact the owner. Of course the owner never returned our call, and being incredibly busy with school, I never filed for small claims court. I still regret not doing this.

Since I'm ranting, isn't it ironic that a business unfriendly town like Davis permits one company from owning nearly all the large complexes' Something is definitely shady. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd
