Just moved to Almondwood 4 weeks ago and I'm already sick of it!!!!! When we moved in the first day we already had problems with the plumbing in the sinks, the water pressure in the shower, and there were rats in our apartment!!!! Not to mention our kitchen cabinets wouldn't stay shut and the drawers would fly out if you opened them spilling stuff everywhere! Matainence only fixed the cabinets. The carpet smells and the apartment is always stuffy, even with windows open. You have to walk like a freakin mile to do your laundry, no wireless internet or computer labs here! There aren't even any cable or internet plugs in the bedrooms so you can't get cable tv in the rooms or plug into the internet, you either have to hire the cable/internet guy to put holes in the wall or run a million cords from the living room. Pet deposit is stupid ($300) for even small, caged animals. The patio door doesn't even have locks on them, so the first night here someone walked right into our patio and stole stuff. The deposit is way too expensive, and I've heard rumors that you don't even get the full amount back even if you left the apartment the way you found it. Almondwood is also far from campus and there are always tons of people cramming onto the G line. The only good thing about Almondwood is that it's close to the marketplace, and the office manager is nice. You can find better in Davis, my pick is Lakeshore and Oakshade apartments.
