These apartments are a bit cheaper than the Davis average, but as with all things, you get what you pay for. What you get is a large living room, with a kitchen on one wall, a decent living room and a small bathroom. There are four large buildings with 40 apartments in each, so you won't have your own entrance. The apartments themselves are in pretty good shape, the walls aren't too thin, but you definitely hear other people. The maintenance guys, while good people, are kind of goof-offs. I didn't have any real maintenance problems, except for lighting the pilot light on the heater, which they did with a day's notice. The apartments get pretty good light, but get pretty hot in the afternoon since there is no chance of a cross-breeze (all windows are on one side of the apt.). There is plenty of parking, which is nice. There's a good laundry facility. The grounds are well kept, but the price is a lot of noise every wednesday when they mow. The office won't take packages, so expect to stay home on days you're expecting something from FedEx or UPS. The pool is ok, but is closed for much of the fall, all of the winter, and the first half of spring. There isn't a ton of privacy, since half of the apartments all face inwards. expect to keep your shades drawn. All told, not a bad place to live, if you don't need too much space, and don't mind a cramped living room/kitchen combo. And, as far as I know, it's one of the only places in Davis where you can still get a 1 BR for under $800. One thing: if you want to live here, make sure you tell them by the deadline in mid-april, or they will rent the place out from under you for september. that's what they did to me, so I'm moving to parkside, where I'll pay a little more, but I'll have a separate kitchen and a balcony. qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
