I had to move VERY quickly from Seattle, WA to Davis to be closer to my family during an emergency.

I sub-leased an apartment from Acadian Properties on very short notice until the lease ended (about four months) I was told the apartment was in good condition and ready for me to move in.

But when I got there the apartment was disgusting! I dont think the people that lived had ever cleaned the apartment.

I was vacuuming up dog hair for months after (and I didnt have a dog.) I understand I moved in site unseen but I trusted the woman I had spoken to.

I tried to contact the management several times and they were unresponsive.

There is no on-site manager or anybody to contact for information.

It is very noisy because of the student housing across the street, the laundry room is filthy and most of the time at least on washer and one dryer were not working.

The only thing I liked was the weekly yard maintenance.

They were to have fixed many of the problems before I moved in, not only were they not fixed but the repair people left a mess, beer cans in the cupboards etc.

I would never recommend renting from Acadian!
