I lived in Cambridge House for 9 months. It was okay, but I?ve been to a lot of nicer places in Davis that are cheaper. My roommate and I had a lot of things go wrong with our apartment (i.e. cabinet doors falling off, stove that didn?t work properly, bugs, etc)...but they did get fixed after we called about them. However, the water was shut off multiple times EVERY WEEK for at least 6 out of the nine months that I lived there. And they would shut the water off during the hours when you need water most!! Like from 9 am - 5 pm or 10 am - 3 pm. It sucked because there were some mornings were I couldn?t take a shower because the water was off. They did give us notices that the water was going to be off, so basically, we had notices on our door everyday telling us that the water would be shut off the following day or the next week. They tried to give us a "Resident Appreciation BBQ" to make up for all of the inconveniences they caused, but that wasn?t enough. They should have reduced our rent. When my roommate and I moved out, we didn?t get our full deposit back - I?m not sure why. We left the apartment in better shape than we received it in and we never damaged anything. For the price you pay at Cambridge, I would NOT recommend living here. I would definitely look elsewhere.
