Not as good as first glance

Years at this apartment: 2004-01-01 - 2005-01-01
I lived in a one bedroom at Cambridge House for one year. I have two good things to say about Cambridge, the people there are friendly and the maintenance team is nice and very quick to fix things. That is about all that is good. Now for my list of complaints. The parking there is ridiculous. If you go out late, meaning after about 7 or 8pm, you will have to park across the complex or even out on the street. The sidewalks and driveways are a mess and unkept. It is often noisy, although in my own experience management is pretty good about asking people to keep it down. Kitchen storage is extremely minimal. I had to keep all my food in the hall closet. I had no dishwasher and no garbage disposal. Shower has next to no water pressure and if it is at all hot, will only last for a few minutes (if you are that lucky). The windows I am pretty sure are made of saran wrap and by listening to noise you cant tell if they are open or closed. Appliances are old, things break quite a bit. My heater/AC had to be fixed at least five times during my ten months there. My oven leaked gas every time I used it. The "high-speed" internet is slower than dialup. Oh, and dont plan on getting your security deposit back. I had a pet and after I moved out they claimed that my apartment "reeked of urine" and so they charged me to replace the carpets. I can assure you that if it did indeed smell of urine, I, my boyfriend, my friends, my parents, and anyone else who visited me in the apartment would certainly have noticed. Oh, and my dog is quite potty trained and has been so for seven years. The carpets were a mess when I moved in, so my guess is they were going to replace them anyway and figured they'd let me pick up the bill.
