My wife and I have lived at Ivy Towne since July 03. We edned up at here because we needed a cheap place that allowed us to have a dog. The first couple of months were good and the management was responsive. Then it went down hill fast. In the frist six months of living there, they went through five different managers and to date we are on about the 7th set of management. The maitanance was good untile about nine months ago when the only competant maintanence person left. They removed all of the trees along the back parking lot, which will make the summers really hot. The biggest problem with the management is they are very into attempting to evict people. In December of 2003 they misplaced our rent check (which they later found). They sent us a letter that we got on a Friday saying that we had not payed rent (eventhough we had a recpt)and to come into the office on Monday to clear it up. However on Saturday they served us with eviction papers. We hired a lawer an won, but when I requested they refund our lawer fees they refused. They do not screen the people they let move in, we live next door to a drug dealer, I know that they are dealing because I see the transactions every time I am outside. I have contacted the management and they claim that they are evicting theses people. There are several abanodoned cars in the parking lot that I have called about on many occasions that they refuse to tow.

The rent issue is crazy. We renewed our lease for $940/month (up from 890 the year befor) and then learned that they are renting the same unit for 890 now. When we asked them to lower our rent they refused. So if you want to rent from them, good luck! The only good thing about the place it the management stays out of your bussness.
