When I signed my lease in June '06 I was told my apartment would be fully renovated, & would have a 24 hr gym & study. Upon move in in Aug '06 I noticed I did not have cabinets like promised. No one mentioned anything to me, just waitied until I asked about them and then was told they were on back order (but really they were out of money). Then they told me the hours of the gym & study, 9-5. We are college students & most of us work full time also, when do we have time to work out between 9 & 5'' My boyfriend is a wrestler & a main concern for us was a 24hr gym....
We are leaving here this month & still do not have cabinets.
Our front door only has a bolt lock, & a bathroom doorknob on the front door. The corner of the front door missing, making it perfect for bugs to crawl in. From the day I moved in I had cockroaches in the bathroom & a ton outside. They told me they would have them spray (in 2 weeks), but it did not do anything at all. There being no base boards also makes it easy for the bugs. I got ants with the first rains and again it took them a week to do anything about it, by then we had figured out a way to kill them before getting in.
Toilet clogs on a regular basis and we never call, always do it ourselves, but one time when it just would not work, we did call for assistence. We called early morning & gave them permission to enter while we were gone. When we got home at 6pm, it still was not fixed. We had to call after hour emergency maintence & she also could not get a hold of anyone. When I finally did, they promised to be there in 45min, it took 1 1/2 hrs.
The heater does not work.
The dishwasher flooded the kitchen.
Told certain restriction apply for dogs & only undor 25lbs, but i have seen large dogs, and pit bulls.
Maintenence is very slow, if you can get a hold of them.
Management is horrible. They change management a lot, at least 2 different general managaers and the others keep changing also. They are extremely rude and do not care about anything at all. They don't handle anything or just forget, either way, it doesnt get done. They lost the master key to my apartment & told me that if i did not bring them my copy for them to re copy I would be charged the cost for them to put all new locks on. I have enver seen the owners, and the new manager probably only 3 or 4 times. They are totally incompitent.
Rent is extremely high. Especially for the poor quality of the apartments. And there is dog poop everywhere.
To sum it all up, I would not recommend this place to anyone. No one pays the same rent & it is extremely high. The apartments are very small and have an odd layout. The property is not worth it & neither is havign to deal with managment.
