Like others have mentioned, the main selling points here are the friendly staff, quick maintenance, and well-kept grounds (pool/hot tub, great study lounge). As a law student, I especially like the fact that it's extremely quiet, and my neighbors are usually other graduate students or young married couples without kids. The apartments themselves could use a bit of a makeover, since the appliances/counters/floors aren't fabulous, but I like having a dishwasher and the two giant closets are really nice. I did have complaints about the short supply of hot water in the winter, but the apartment itself was fairly warm since only one wall of each room is exposed to the outside. Pretty hot in the summer if you get a west-facing apartment, although there's a wall AC unit, and yes, the train apartments can be terribly noisy... at first. Three months later I barely notice it.

We've renewed for a second year, and will probably stay for a third. It would be nice to have a fancier apartment, but I really value the quietness of the complex (which can be hard to tell when you're just visiting on a Tuesday morning), and I would miss my extra closet space anywhere else.
