I love living here and have just re-signed my lease to sign onto a third year. I reall couldn't disagree more with the negative reviewers. The complex, while not perfect, is lovely. The apartments are spacious, the management helpful/prompt/friendly, the grounds neat, the neighborhood quiet-- it's all good in my book!

True- the former manager Billie left early last year and the office is open less frequently. But the on-site office still has open hours throughout the week AND the Lakeshore office (a sister-apartment complex) is right across the street and is always open, even on Saturdays! I have been over there many times and they have always helped me right away.

We use a service provider called "DSL Extreme" and have been very happy with it. It's very fast- I can hardly tell the difference between that and cable Internet. Plus, we're only paying about $18 a month.

As far as noise goes, the place is actually very quiet. The surrounding streets are very mellow, as is the neighborhood and complex. The firehouse next door almost ALWAYS turns on their sirens after they are well out onto the street- oftentimes I barely hear them at all.

Our appliances are all in fine working order- our fridge and microwave are almost brand new. Once, our stove-top burner went out. I called for a repair and it was fixed within hours. The maintainence crew is courteous, professional and always helpful.

I definitely recommend this complex! I don't think there is a better place in Davis!
