nonexistant management

good things about this place:
its very quiet and the lot is more or less clean. parking is ok... standard crowding like most places.
what blows:
management is nonexistant. that is not an over exaggeration. they are NEVER around. you have to call the office 5 times in a row to get an answer. the (former) manager, marissa, was quick to screw us if something wasnt met in the contradicting contract. FOR EXAMPLE; our second day after moving into the place, i guess we were about 180 dollars short on first/last payment, and they changed the locks. no notice, no lee-way, nothing. ALSO: they send out a paper about march or so asking stating if you want to CONTINUE to live in your apartment AFTER YOUR ONE YEAR CONTRACTED LEASE is up, you have to notify them, or your contract WILL NOT be renewed (hence, after you year is over, you move...right'). however, there is a stipulation that contradicts this in the contract, stating that you must notify them with written notice 30 days before moving out. DO NOT ASSUME that NOT signing the 'intent to renew my lease form' as a way to tell them you're just staying for the contract terms.... we didnt turn in that form and assumed that since our contract was for only 1 YEAR, that our contract would, indeed, end after 1 year, right' wrong. because we didnt sumbit the retarded '30day notice,' they approach us on our SECOND TO LAST DAY trying to say we have to pay another month's rent. they even handed us college kids over to a collection agency to scare us into paying. management at this place was horrible when we were there, and i believe the head manager, marissa, has moved to another place, so watch your ass -- dot all your i's and cross all your t's. MORALE OF THE STORY, even though your contract says its only for 1 YEAR, and even though you gave NO INDICATION to renew the 1 YEAR lease, TURN IN YOUR 30 DAY NOTIFICATION OF INTENT TO LEAVE, or you will be harrassed by collection agencies.
