PAINTS A PRETTY PICTURE; DON'T BE DECEIVED

I have lived here many years. I would not recommend Cambridge Glen to others. I have seen many managers come and go while I've lived here. Some have been nice, and others have not. But what's relevant is that management has NEVER been accessible to its renters. Maintainence HARDLY EVER fixes things that are broken; and when they do, they take months, sometimes years to fix it. Also, they will either fix it partly and leave it another couple of months or fix it improperly all together. Anything verbally agreed or disagreed upon you should get it writing - actually, better to get everything in writing. They're famous for losing paperwork or claiming to never have had it in the first place. Forget about doing laundry. 11 washers and 9 dryers just does not seem adequate to me for 125 units. Washers and dryers are almost impossible to get a hold of, and when you do you should be close by, otherwise your clothes will either disappear or be taken out before they have finished their cycle. Also, people love to leave their clothes in the washers/dryers for hours at a time (no exaggeration!) with no consideration for others. And boy, if you take them out after waiting an hour and those people walk in on you, they act as though you are in the wrong. Washer/dryer repairs are another problem. They are constantly breaking down and not fixed for months at a time. One day a washer was leaking quite a bit and I was concerned because a very pregnant woman was washing her clothes and it was slippery. I immediately told the maintainence man who was on duty. He told me wait a minute. Finally he came into the laundry room, looked at the washer, mumbled mnn hmmn. I told him my concern for the pregnant woman and he said, ok we'll get it fixed. He didn't put a 'wet floor' cone out or anything else. I have almost moved out of Cambridge Glen, as a result of all of this. But the quiet, peaceful atmosphere (not considering management) and not wanting to uproot my children has made me decide to stay. So while Cambridge Glen has many good points, which I have no problem pointing out, like the pool/spa, gym, free cable, nice grounds (although the constant leaves blowing onto my patio is annoying), quiet atmosphere, nice neighbors (I've never had a problem with neighbors here), the management and maintainence problems far exceed these good points. Therefore, I would not recommend Cambridge Glen to others and I would never have moved in to begin with.
