wow this place is horriable From: jc_the_lp Date posted: 8/31/2006 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006   teri england is one of the worst land lords you will ever have 1) when you need any sort of repair work, she assures you she will fix the problem asap. this is one of the many lies you will hear from her. not only are there only 2 maintenance guys working 100 apartments, they are extremely shady and will demand to look into every nook and cranny of your apartment. 2) its kind of funny but when repair men actually do show up, they talk sooooo much trash about the manager, teri england. they will spend more time telling you how dangerous the neighborhood is and what a complete "hard to deal with manager" teri is. apparently she pays them minimum wage and has them work overtime with no safety equipment. 3) the apartment complex stinks. there is animal/pet urine/stool everywhere on the grass. mix that with the fact that everyone in the complex smokes about 2 packs a day and overall you will get used to the smell but all that dander and carcinogenic smoke will build up in your lungs. 4) the train tracks are suuuuuper close to the apartment complex. put it this way, if the train tracks fail and the thousand ton train slides off the track, you better not be home or you will be underneath it. 5) teri england is a liar and probably racist. out of the blue she said that no one in the complex could re-new their lease for '07 because of the re-modeling and complete shortage of housing. note that uc davis admitted the record number of incoming freshman this year thus flooding the apartment market. families and non-student tennats all paying 700 and 800 for the last few years were all kicked out and rent rose to 985$. on numerous occasions we applied to re-new our lease even agreeing to re-apply as new residents only to hear teri claim that there were no vacancies. all the while the apartment office countinued to put up available listings on craigslist. 6) if you like sleeping past 7am, you will love the way they mow the lawn at 730am on the dot. there is no better way to wake up than hearing 5 mowers go to work at once 7) the complex is shady. it has a lot of trees and the police patrol the area as if we were in compton. patrolling up and down j street, even coming into the parking lot and walking around. i think this may have to do with the SHOOTING and arrest of a convicted felon in the last year. 8) prepare to get robbed at this complex. whether it is your clothes from the laundry, your locked up bike, or someone breaking into your car. it will happen. go ahead live at this complex, i hope my honest review help you make an informed decision :)
