We've rented a 1 bed / 1 bath apartment here for almost a year now, and have been extremely happy with the apartment, the management, the location, and the price.

It's a very small complex (20 units), hidden away in the downtown residential area on 7th St. The area's been very quiet and peaceful and is within easy walking distance of campus and the business district of downtown.

The fact that the rent's only $700 a month for a well-kept place was probably the biggest selling point for us, but being able to have a cat (with only a extra deposit, not an extra monthly fee) was a huge bonus.

The downsides: No dishwasher, washer, or dryer in the apartment. No facilities in the complex except for a small washer/dryer room (75c per load) -- no pool, or gym. And finally, the water heater in the washer/dryer room makes a high pitched whine when it kicks on.
