Overall--you can find an apartment alot better for the amount of rent

I moved in as a subleaser and management didn't come by to check the status of the apartment before I moved in which you might not think twice about initially, but when moving out they will charge you for every single nail hole and normal wear and tear (whether it was yours or not). When it comes to fix-its they take their time and when asked why it wasn't done sooner, their dates are altered to favour a quick response time. The parking is ample, but you have to tread over dirt and mud to get to your door. If facing the street, you hear the buses from 7am to 10pm everyday including summer! Once in awhile there are people just cruising the streets, not often though. Becareful if you live upstairs though, after it rains moss grows on the steps and they can get quite slippery. Management can be decent but at the end of the day they just want your rent money. They do the very minimal. They also happened to change the locks to my apartment twice without issuing keys first--THIS HAPPENED TWICE!!! I had problems with my roommate which isn't unusal, it became serious enough to involve management and lawyers (my ex-roommate). Management
CAN work with roommates having issues, but they just wanted their rent money without trying to help find a solution or compromise(other apartments offer options and really help their tenants like Portage Bay West) Well instead of treating me decently, she raised her voice in discussion and was clear irrated when I asked about the details of my lease, that's not how to treat a on-time rent paying resident should be treated. Sometimes you can't help but find yourself in a bad living situation, the bottom line is, you don't want to be living at Pinecrest Apartments if or when it happens to you.
