I've had the opportunity to live in Pinon's 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments and was very happy with all of them.

Parking: I've never had trouble getting a parking spot, so I have no complaints about the parking situation. Each resident is allowed to register a single car.

Noise level: The apartment is pretty quiet; I've lived here for 5 years and have never had any major noise problems. You can occasionally hear noises from neighboring apartments, but it isn't a serious problem. Intra-apartment walls are somewhat thin though, so this might be an issue if you have noisy roommates.

Grounds: The grounds are very well maintained.

Safety: I have no security concerns about the apartment complex. I suppose a little more lighting at night wouldn't help, but I still feel very safe at this apartment complex.

Construction: The apartments are fairly old, so things do wear out from time to time. However the managers take care of getting these things fixed or replaced promptly, so it's never been a major issue.

Maintenance service: The maintenance service at Pinon is excellent. The manager's husband does pretty much all of the maintenance and always responds to maintenance requests promptly. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than an hour for my maintenance request to be attended to.

Office staff: The manager is very organized and professional. I can definitely see how she would rub some people the wrong way, but if you're polite and responsible (i.e., pay your rent on time, don't throw huge parties, etc.), you'll get along with her just fine. I think my only complaint is that the office isn't open very long each day (just 1:00-5:00, M-F).

Overall I've been very happy with my stay at Pinon and I enjoyed living in all three types of apartments. I've never had rodent or bug problems as some people on this site have described. I would definitely recommend Pinon to anyone looking for a quiet, well-maintained apartment close to campus.
