Portage Bay

Best place I've ever lived!!!! From: djvsx Date posted: 9/27/2003 Years at this apartment: 1997 - 2002   Easily the best place I've ever lived (next to my parents' house)! Management was friendly, prompt to deal with problems and very intelligent/with it. Maintenance was prompt and thorough; never really had to worry about any of the minor problems my apartment had. Despite many students living there, it was still one of the most quiet places I've ever lived. Other tenants were friendly, but also kept to themselves and didn't cause any late night disturbances or anything along those lines. Parking was never even a concern; even when the lot was closed for re-paving, there was ample street parking. Also, the grounds were always well maintained so the place gave off a very professional feel just by driving by and taking a quick glance. I really wish I could find the balance of good management and quality living in the other cities I've lived in since moving from Davis. Unfortunately, I'm beginning to think this was a quality unique to Portage Bay!!
