This is one of the best places I have ever lived with regards to decent rent ($900-$1000 for a 2bd/1bath), open mindedness to innovation (e.g. wireless local high speed internet, and credit card laundry facilities) and great people (The best manager and repair guy ever, Jackie and Doug rock!). Parking is fantastic and abundant. Bike path is right out your door and 2.5 miles to campus and near the annual pumpkin/corn maze in Oct. Also this is a cat paradise, the little buggers are everywhere, furry and friendly (however if you're alergic this may not be a perk ;). In addition there is a grocery store, dry cleaners, movie rental place, pizza, mexican and chinese restaurant all within a 10min walk.

With that said there are a few drawbacks. The place is old (>30 yrs), the kitchen is tiny (the smallest you have ever seen), and wall cracks are showing in all apts. Also no on site workout facilities.

Overall this is one of the best places my wife and I have found to live in Davis. We will of course be looking for even better places but that is always neccessary for renters to do. But we have been here for 2 years and haven't found a place to beat it yet!
