I would take most of the positive reviews that were posted a year ago WITH A GRAIN OF SALT. The positive reviews did not highlight many of the negative aspects of living here.

I lived here a few years back from 2004-2005, but I can only recall a vivid memory of unreliable, uncaring, and "if you want us to fix it, you will have to pay for it" management; mice infested grounds "which are out of the hands of the management, so deal with it"; and dilapidated housing in the interiors.

If you want to get anything done, you might as well have it done yourself. I had countless work orders forgotten about, and when it was serious, I would keep on reminding the management over and over again. After multiple visits to the office and multiple phone calls, the management would finally get back to me, and inform me that whatever I needed fixed would COST ME MONEY. Secondly, the apartment managers charge you for everything on the security deposit, including carpet cleaning, wall painting, and cleaning. When I had called to inform them that they violated Civil Code 1950.5 (Security Deposit Law), they wouldn't listen to me and shut me up by telling me that they knew the law and that I DID NOT. Don't screw yourself over. Please reconsider living somewhere else to avoid this hassle of getting charged hundreds of dollars for costs THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR, not YOU THE TENANT. They even said they would charge you for lime/calcification on the outside of windows. THAT'S RIGHT, they will charge you for something that the seasons/winds/weather caused.

The apartment is situated next to a wheat or grass field, which is infested with rodents and vermin that somehow infest everyones apartments at Seville. Management is INEFFECTIVE in exterminating the pests, and do not provide any sort of suitable way of capturing pests for their apartment tenants. All they provided were these sticky pieces of tape, which were deemed ineffective in catching any sort of mice. Management realized they had a problem, but did not seek any outside help, such as exterminators, to reduce or get rid of the pest infestation.

Lastly, the apartments are dilapidated. Management spends a lot of money to make the exteriors look nice, but in actuality what you get inside is of poor caliber and quality. When we first moved in, the apartment was dirty. The bar area has a flat table area which was falling off and not securely attached to the wall. Calcification was throughout all the metal fixtures - they didn't even clean that up. Also, the blinds weren't even cleaned. You expect an apartment to be clean when you move in, especially if the management is charging hundreds of dollars during an apartment turnover from the previous tenant.

My last words are to please reconsider. Live here at your own risk, but realize you will lose most of the money from your deposit and will meet face to face with MICE.

I do agree with most of what is said here. I lived there two years, and things did get better in year 2, under new management. The new manager was really quite prompt in getting things repaired. However, still ineffective with dealing with noise complaints. And don't expect anyone to call you back if you leave a message. In fact, they don't even have an answering machine. To leave a message you must call the emregency cell phone line, and if the person on duty picks up they are unsually in a foul mood b/c you disturbed them. Very curt. But, why then not just have an answering machine or email address for nonemergency messages then? Your other recourse is to stop by and speak to someone, but hours are irregular and unpredictable for some reason. You stop by and there is often a sign saying "back at 2:30" or something. So that is tough too.
