Not too bad... Thin walls

I have a 1 bed/1 bath upstairs apartment, which is actually quite spacious and affordable for Davis. The pool is super nice, and although I've seen managers turn over a couple times, I never had a problem with any of them. There is also plenty of parking.
My only major complaint are the thin walls. I also at one point lived in a 2 bed/2 bath downstairs apartment. When I was downstairs, I could hear every step my upstairs neighbors took, they woke me up when they vacuumed early Saturday mornings, and I could even hear them pee when I was in the bathroom. At my apartment now, I can hear the neighbor next door talking when he is in his room (we share this wall) and the downstairs neighbor sounds like he is playing his music in my living room at all ours of the day (he does play his music really loud). Other than normal living habits, the complex seems to be pretty quiet. Mostly grad students and families live here.
So, if you don't mind sacrificing thicker walls for cheaper rent, this is not too bad of a place to live. Most apartments aren't exactly well insulated anyway, but I think the walls here are a little thinner than most. I did think both of my apartments were nice, and the complex is well maintained.
