I am moving out in 1 week because my roomate got a new job and I can't afford to live here by myself. Keith the manager is very nice, Sam is a nice guy too. He's the only maintenance person so things aren't always done within 24 hours - but they're done fairly quickly. There is an issue with car break-ins here - which is weird considering this is a really nice area. There's been about 4 or 5 break-ins (windows smashed in and items stolen) in only 10 months that I've lived here. When I moved in they originally said that they were going to start working on a fitness center at the beginning of 2006. It's June and nothing has been done, they have invested a lot of money in the landscaping - just added a weird fountain rock that isn't working correctly, and they just power washed everything. This is all nice, but I seriously would have preferred a gym over all this stuff. I have the master bedroom and it's HUGE. Nice layout to the apt. Lots of windows and you can get a nice cross breeze going. And my dog loved loved loved the sunshine. The central heat and a/c is really nice although the weather is super great here so you almost never have to use either of them. The w/d are nice and big and new. Sometimes the humming from the a/c or w/d from the apartment below us is a little loud - but nothing too bad. Parking is awesome - if you have lived anywhere else in SD you know the parking here at Bella Del Mar rocks. I've never ever had a problem getting a spot. I never used the pool or spa so I can't really comment on those. Lots of green grass - my dog loves it. For the most part pet owners seem to be responsible here (occasionally there is waste that has not been picked up). I'm not sure what the $30 goes towards per month with my pet rent considering they only have two pet waste stations and they're totally inconvenient - the 2nd one was only added a few months ago. I use my own bags attached to my dogs leash. You definitely pay for the location here. Nice amenities, but you can find the crown molding, granite, frills, bells and whistles that are not included here at other places close by for the same amount or less rent per month. It's the "west of the 5" location that makes this place more expensive. Overall a nice place to live but I never really felt at home here. The residents are respectful and quiet and range from familes to elderly couples to college students. Never had a problem with any of the residents here. Nice people for sure. It was definitely a huge step up from living in Mission Valley. :-)
