My husband and I moved here 2 years ago. Rent seemed high but the place seemed nice so it was OK. 2 years later, we cannot wait to get out. Management is really bad here (incompetent "pretty girls"), I attest to that. Several times we've left the office fuming because of no resolution. When they bring in outside workers to work on changes in the appartments (i.e. recent wheelchair accessibility changes), they do not stay with the outsiders. Good thing I stayed home each time otherwise they would just let people walk in and out of your place. They increased the rent like crazy the last time! So we started house shopping and would rather scrape together my pennies for a mortgage payment then pay these people here another dollar.
The pool thing is true too. They did tell us it was heated, and I think only one time did it feel warm. They also should clean it more often. Same with the hottub. And where the heck is the remote to the TV's in the fitness room' If you want to watch TV or change the channel, you pretty much have to risk your life by climbing on top of either the stationary bike or something else so you can reach it. Which I loved that they kept moving away from the TV's but people always put it back. Crazy.
Now let's move to the appliances in the kitchen. The stove is hooked up wrong, you have to use the opposite buttons for each burner. Oven light was not turning off since we moved in (we called for service, didnt really fix it so when the light under the microwave went out, we took the light out of the oven instead). Oven is off by 50 degrees (higher heat then you set it at). Fridge. This year we called several times because the freezer was snowing up in the back with no cold air transferring to the lower portion of the fridge. After calling service for it 3x, they gave us a new one. Guess what, same problem. There must be a leak someplace. We dont dare complain so we just unplug it and melt it off ourselves 1x a month for like 4-5 months now.
The bugs, I thought that was normal but after seeing everyone else mentioning them, I guess they are not. They are pretty annoying, these earwig things, yuck, crawling in under my main door because it's so poorly put in. Spiders in the bathroom, one as big as a quarter, I screamed my head off. Black widow in the water closet out on the patio. Yum.
Dog poop. OK, I have a dog but I honestly pick up every crumble after him. Others..not so much. It's ridiculous. They even provide you with bags if you are too cheap to get them for your dog. Also, seen some BIG dogs that SHOULD not be ALLOWED in these appartments...they are clearly over the weight limit for one. I also love all the people that take their dog to poop right on the side areas where the ivy is..and of course leave the HUGE DUMPS! Disgusting..some as large as human, with their big dogs. I can only imagine what their appartment looks like. They probably also did not report to the office having a dog and putting down the $500 deposit. Oh and $50 pet rent..Crazy..and I have to look at other dogs poop...
Finally..there's large amount of Pigeon poop around too. Oh and they dont clean your outside windows. I would clean mine but dont dare step into the ivy outside. Tree sap is true and annoying as well! Kids play in the parking lot - what kind of parents do they have'''' Annoying teenagers hang out in the pool / hot tub area. Enjoy, I've had enough!

The kids here love to skateboard, especially at night, in the parking lot where the lighting is dreadful. I have had to slam on the brakes several times to avoid hitting them. Where the heck are their parents?

By the way, there is NO weight limit for dogs there. If you have a large dog you do need to rent a first floor apt. Thanks anyway :)
