they did not clean the place before we moved in. they "forgot" we were moving in on that day. we had a HUGE roach problem. i noticed two roaches in the dishwasher the day we moved in but we didn't know they were roaches. i thought they were water bugs. management said we brought them with us. NUMEROUS trips to our place from the exterminator but they wouldn't get rid of them. finally, the exterminator told us that spraying will not rid of them and that is what management had told them to do ONLY. they finally laid traps and did some other things on the 5th time (which they said they only make 3 trips) and finally the problem had stopped. it was so bad roaches were dropping off the ceiling and crawling on guests at night. we had 2 cats and they wouldn't even touch em. from the day we moved in the left side of our stove wouldn't work. i've had someone come out and check on it numerous times and they continued to tell me they were waiting on a part. i think there were 5 different managers the whole year and a half i lived there. the neighbors are horrible. if you like listening to late night parties (5-6am even on sundays) then this is the place to be. also there is a guy who listens to horrible music and blares it all night long. parking is ok. trash isn't a problem. the pool is hardly ever crowded. also, my fridge/freezer died and everything went spoiled. of course this happened right after xmas and the two huge coolers of omaha steaks were ruined. it took them a year to resolve this and give me a refund on the things that went bad. also, it took 3 managers to finally get it done. we weren't familiar with el cajon or know the rep it has. i can live with the homeless people raiding the dumpsters every morning but not when they come up on the second floor and take the cans and bottles from our own patio! the good thing about this place, there is a sombrero's right across the street.
