Faulty Package Management

Honestly, I have never had problems while living here until recently. We never use the pool and nothing in our apartment has really broken, so I don't have the same problems a lot of posters seem to have. The few times a maintenance guy came out he was great and fixed things quickly. The location is great and we have always enjoyed our view of the hills.

However, recently I've had some trouble with the apartment management. The girls in the office don't seem to have the people skills I have come to expect from apartment personnel, and some of the things they do (whether it is policy or not) are just not smart. For instance, I had been waiting for this important business package and was starting to worry. So, I called my company, and they said the apartment complex had signed for it almost three weeks ago! I called the office and was told they didn't have the package. I asked them to check again and after several minutes they decided that they had it after all. When I asked why I hadn't received notice, I was told that it was my fault for not checking sooner, even though it is common policy to put a notice in our mailbox if we get a package. Then she said it wasn't their fault because the apartment number wasn't on the package, which was proven incorrect when I picked up the package an hour later.

I usually don't have any problems with the apartments. Actually, I love living here. The rent is a bit high, but most apartment complexes have high rent right now. Plus, we kinda pay for the neighborhood, which is so close to shopping, restaurants, and a movie theater. I was just so disappointed by what happened. I mean, if I hadn't known the package was coming, some very important information would have been totally disregarded, and I would be in serious trouble. Also, if the package had contained perishables, it would have been rotting on their office floor for a long time.
