Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
this place was simply awful. they were nice enough until we signed the lease, but that was about it. in the one year we lived there:
1. our neighbors were constantly loud. we heard fights through our floor at all hours, women screaming in the parking lot, the door slamming multiple times at 6 in the morning, people having loud sex, young people having loud parties, and teenagers walking around with boomboxes and skateboarding in the parking lot.
2. the staff was incredibly rude, irresponsible, and two-faced. they were quick to show apartments to prospective tenants, but if a resident had a question, they made you wait and wait and wait. they never had extra gate remotes and always told us to come back for one. they refused to write down evidence of scratches on the walls during the initial apartment walk-through (they said, "oh, it's no big deal.") and then proceeded to point out every speck or crack on the wall at the check out walk through. i have never had to deal with such rude staff members at any office.
3. maintainence: my parking spot fluorescent lights were out for half a year before they finally fixed it, even though i asked over and over again. our parking spot was far away from our apartment, and the office wouldn't switch us. the lights were out in the back parking lot and were never fixed until we were moving out. we called about someone throwing up on our steps, and even after 2 follow ups, it was never cleaned up. there were always cigarette butts and beer bottles left on the ground.
4. the "security" guy sat in his car at the gate and watched women walk to and from the mailbox. he also came into the gym at night to chat with the women on the treadmills. 99% of the time, he sat in the car and read magazines while smoking with his window open, listening to the radio and sometimes talking on his cell phone.
5. apartment/amenities: the gym was always dirty-- torn up carpet, trash on the floor, people bringing their boomboxes and misplacing dumbells. the washer and dryer wobbled and barely held anything. the bathroom was big, but had so much wasted space with no significant storage space. the insulation was horrible-- it was so hot in summer and so cold in the winter, and our electricity bills were very high.
don't believe anything positive that any so-called resident has written about this place; it was probably put in by citrus grove managers.
