So, when I moved in a year and a half ago, it was a cool place to live--because there were so many empty apartments. Unfortunately, in their desperation to rent out units, the part of the complex I live in has gone to hell.
The office seems to do nothing about complaints of noise (and I have only called them in extreme circumstances like a blasting stereo on a balcony two buildings away that woke me up at three in the morning on a Tuesday night!) and the security company is never in the complex unless they are called. I have had to call 911 twice in the past three months because of girls getting beat up in the parking lot.
The pool and gym at the front of the complex are used like public facilities by kids and families in the surrounding neighborhoods but, since they've switched security companies, no one monitors this except other (paying) tenants I've talked to. There's a weirdo who seems to have roid rage who walks around the pool/gym area punching and kicking inanimate objects seven nights a week and who makes girls not want to use those facilities.
The gate at the front is broken about half the time and I often find some random car parked in my space. If you live in a downstairs apartment you should also be prepared to share your home with all sorts of bugs and frogs--actually, I live upstairs and I still get frogs in my apartment, but my friend who lives downstairs gets millions of ants, spiders, rolly pollies, crickets, and these bugs that I believe are centepedes in hers.
The staff is really nice and I like the maintenance guys a lot. The club house is cool to reserve for a party but they've changed the rules so you can't have it until after office hours anymore.
Overall, although the apartments are pretty spacious and look nice (though the fixtures are cheap), it is really not worth the amount of rent because of the noise and trashy neighbors. I can't wait to get the hell out of here!!

I have lived here since July 2006 to the present. I moved out of my mom's place so that I could find a girlfriend and not have that awkwardness when I brought her over. Unfortunately, I never found a girlfriend. It's been over a year and I have become bittered and frustrated. I even tried to introduce myself to the girl upstairs, but she was disgusted by me. I don't know if it's because I'm stout and Hispanic or because she called the police on me for playing my stereo so loud. Yes, I am one of those jackass who believes that they can invade other's peace and play as loud as I want. I think that I might be bisexual because I am attracted to this white guy who lives downstairs across from me. I have befriended him but I would not dare tell him how I feel. He likes to drink and smoke then he starts preaching to me how to meet women and telling me what women want (as if he's any better than me). I get lonely a lot so my mother visits me everyday. I work at Rytina in Sacramento, CA. Call me if you have any questions 916-485-4700.
