This place has its problems (primarily noise), but that last person has been posting these same ridiculous photos and the same "lawsuit" news for at least 10 years.

The apts are well-maintained. I just moved out of there recently. The management has changed (again, LOL!) but seems to be better. There is not a problem getting things fixed; sometimes your request may get lost in the shuffle but if you persist, they will take care of things.

The apartments are way overpriced, but I liked the location. I liked the fitness center too, but there were the occasional late-night problems there with teenagers who apparently could not find a more suitable place to hang out.

Cigarette smoke was always coming into my apartment, both from people outside and from the upstairs/downstairs apartments. The noise during the day from the staff is loud, and then the inconsiderate tenants continue to make noise at night.

But as far as the apartment itself goes, it was clean with modern appliances and in good repair compared to the dumps you have to pick from in Berkeley.

One of the biggest problems this place has is the tenants they rent to: clearly there is no screening done whatsoever; half of them wouldn't be there if they had to have a decent reference from a past landlord, or a criminal check, etc. They only do credit checks, and that's only to deternine how much of a deposit you have to pay.

It's possible I'd live there again, but I'd probably try the new place being built across the street first.
