Don?t trust the property manager. He doesn't keep his promises. He won't do anything to help if you have a problem. He's like a used car salesman. Everything he says is a self-serving lie. He has a convenient memory claiming not to remember what he said the last time you spoke to him. All he cares about is the money.

Speaking of money, this place is way overpriced. You can live elsewhere in Emeryville or in Albany for $200 less per month easy.

The noise level here is intolerable. It's cheap wood frame construction. You can hear everything going on next door and above--and plenty is going on, at all hours of the day and night, from inconsiderate tenants that greedy manangement failed to screen out. Several times a week, early in the morning including weekends and holidays, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and hedge trimmers run outside the apartment windows, fussing with the so-called landscaping.

In the center area they spent over eight months! making noise and dust, inconveniencing everyone, letting many nice trees and hedges that provided privacy die from lack of water, and now it looks much worse than it did before. It's an ugly concrete jungle. What a joke. How typical of projects around here. The worst of it is that you can listen to the idiot property manager tell you he's gotten compliments. He knows he's lying. You can see it in his face and belligerant I-dare-you-to-contradict-me attitude.

Please keep looking. If you must live in a large apartment complex there are much better ones in Oakland. This place stinks, and not just from the smelly pesticides and weed killers they spray constantly.

The rating would be still lower if a quirk in this system didn?t reset the overall rating for an individual review to 3.0 whenever someone edits the text of their review.
