Why Do Some People Spew Such Negativity''''

I have lived at Emery Bay for about 7 years and have seen many people come and go. And I must say, most of the people that leave with bitterness usually have a problem because they are forced to pay their rent without any breaks if they are late on rent (I say this because I see the notes on the doors and yeah, I know what it means and some of it I know first hand). These people start out throwing their trash in stairways or all over the floors (and floors that were just cleaned)...what a shame for the rest of us. Those people are slobs, pigs I tell you and the rest of us have to suffer for it. But that should not reflect on Emery Bay, it should be reflected on those disgruntle tennants. What is the place to do if you have people going around at 2am and 3am breaking things, trashing the place or tossing garbage where ever they feel like it out of the view of the cameras of course. The people at Emery Bay are trying to provide a nice environment for us to live in, but they have to be constantly battling those ignoramouses who are fighting it all the way. That is NOT Emery Bay, that's the jackasses who causes the distructions. And although the cleaning people were there only the day before, as soon as it's brought to EmeryBay's attention, someone is back in there cleaning up again.
Don't get me wrong, I am sure there are other reasons people leave besides rent issues, but that to my limited knowlege, is the number 1 reason people get pissed off at them.

Emery Bay is NOT perfect, (grocery shopping is a nightmare or moving in or out with large pieces of furniture etc. and I wish the eyes on people taking the smaller pieces of gym equipments were more diligent). I personally saw some guy working out at 1am in the morning took up weights and put it in his duffle bag and tried to walk out with it. But the good thing was, there's 24hr security and although I brought it to their attention, I wished they saw it instead of me. But that's what a community is all about, we ALL have to make sure it's kept to the standard we want it to.

I am not there to be friends with the Employees at Emery Bay, but I find them very courteous, and attentive to my needs. I never have to wait more than 24 hours to get something fixed in my apartment. If it's a big job, they start it within 36 hours. There are loud, unruly and disrespectful people who live in each building I'm sure. But if the Emery Bay employees don't live in your building, how are they to know those people who are banging on doors, playing loud music or causing a disturbance(at odd hours to boot) unless you let them know. They are NOT responsible for those people's bad behavior. However, The security/courtesy desk is on it, as soon as you call them and let them know. No matter what time of the day, you can ALWAYS contact the courtesy desk about problems that affect your peaceful living or existence in your apartment.

Bottom line is, nothing in life is perfect, but for the cost, for the location, for the amenities and for so many other reasons, Emery Bay is not a bad place to live. I think they are ALWAYS trying to be accommodating and keeping us, the tenants happy and when some people out there are NEVER satisfied no matter what you do to please them. Unfortunately, people who fit into that category, will always be filled with ugly words and negative energy and will try to get in the midst to spew their venom.

Vilifying people with legitimate complaints is a cheap trick. I've paid my rent on time every month, do not throw trash anywhere, am very tired of the noise & smell of this place, and resent your stupidity. As you say, your knowlege is limited. It sure is. Every bad tenant was admitted here by the greedy management. Consider that. Also if you're thinking of moving in here, consider who you're going to be living with. It's not the management, like this stooge would like, but the tenants--good & bad--that he describes.

Anyone who rates maintenance here as a 5 (out of 5) is not a reliable person. Maintenance here is -5. Things do not get fixed for months on end. The "security" system in the visitor's bldg., the endlessly ringing trouble alarms, the expired elevator inspection certificates are three examples at random. I have had to wait weeks for them to "fix" things in my apartment. Don't believe this person.

Dear max1234,
Thank you for your honest response. You posted everything I wanted to convey. I too have never been late in paying my rent and can't wait to get out of this ghetto dump. I agree the noise and smell are two of the biggest problems. I might as well ask my doorknob rather than security or the property manager to rectify the situation, as I would get the same response. To all potential renters: LOOK ELSEWHERE. Do not believe this review. BEWARE: ANY POSITIVE REVIEW ABOUT THIS DUMP IS WRITTEN BY AN EMPLOYEE OR MANAGEMENT.

This must be someone from Emerybay trying to say something nice about the place. They must search this site to make sure that there is atleast some positive feedback! Too bad! This place sucks! I hate everything about Emerybay! I can't wait unitl my lease is up!!!!!

So true. I know for a fact Emerybay searches the site and any positive response has been written by the staff or management. If this wasn't written by a staffer I don' t know what is. Does anyone elses bathroom smell like some serious poopoo? It seeps into my bedroom too. Ewwww. I have to say I haven't paid rent late and I hate it here. It's so overpriced too! If I hear one more thumping car in the parking lot I'm going to throw a brick out the balcony at them! Knowing this place, they'll have a gun I'm sure. That 1992 caprice classic with the spinners in going down! I cannot wait till my lease is up too!

It is always easy to say that the bad tenants are the cause of all problems. To label them as people who do not pay rent on time, and they are the ones complaining to get out of paying rent.
The undeniable truth must be told. Emerybay apartments is not hell on earth. There are some pluses. I like the landscape, the pool, and jacuzzi. The fitness room seems nice. The security people are friendly, but useless when it comes to "security". I had bikes stolen, seem vandalism, and noise is a serious problem. There are bad tenants that add to the grief of living there. The funny thing is if they were these evil people who write the negative postings, I wonder when they get the time from all the vandalizing, beings pigs, stealing, and so on...

This place is a piece of ---- dump. Management needs to STFU and stop writing their own reviews on here. Morons are trying to move their rating up. THIS PLACE IS DANGEROUS, SECURITY IS SHADY, MANAGEMENT IS LAZY AND MAINTENANCE IS A JOKE.
