1. When I moved in, I had access to a nice workout room, sauna, free yoga classes, a nice pool and 3 jacuzzis. Now only access to one jacuzzi which was out of service for about 2 months recently and a small workout room with no water and limited machines.

2. Upkeep: recently had to call on overflowing, jammed garbage chute.
Laundry room is generally a mess and one washer or dryer of 4 often out of service.
Elevators commonly have vomit or other liquid on the floor, trash, etc.

3. Aside from the loud trains, loud music, people shouting at each other, car alarms (which I now regard as somewhat normal), we were awakened at 7a on Saturday, 11/17, with workmen smoking, on ladders, sawing and hammering outside my window. We had been asked to clear out balconies (no easy feat when you have to move all your stuff, including bikes and large planters, into an already small apt.) from Veterans' Day to Dec. 31st while they replace all the wooden trim outside "for the benefit/convenience of the community." Generally, since Archstone took over, all upgrades have been done to make the OUTSIDE of the building look better for prospective renters. When you complain to the mgmt. they saw it is for "our" benefit. I am giving notice in the next week or so.
