I have lived here since 2001. I have not rented from the watergate sale co...which seems to be a horrible experience. I rented from a greedy landlady and her overly obese husband. Rents were coming down and they tried to seem they were only raising the rents by a little....F U! Do you think I haven't been looking. Well, I moved to a bigger and cheaper unit and I'm renting it out through a realtor hired by the landlady. Average service...
But let me get into things that you cant' really control. WCA charges about 500 dollars per 2 bedroom unit...imagine how many units are out there and imagine how much they are raking in monthly. Currently, they are repaving the parking garage. I think they did that in 2002....let's face it. The place is sinking! They constantly inconvenience their residents by all these fixer uppers they are doing. I just got word from WCA about a 48hour notice about testing the stupid fire alarm. Either we have to be home from 830 - 2pm or we get charged 45$ from a locksmith.
They constantly need access to your unit. Probably on average of 2x a year. It's just a huge inconvenience to someone who doesn't have a flexible schedule. That's not all....about once every 2 years you need to remove everything from your balcony so they can have access to that too.
Too much of a hastle for too little. If someone is paying 500$ per month, I don't want to be bothered when I really don't have to. uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax

I live here too, the funny thing is that i completely ignored that crap about the $45 and i haven't heard from them. If they ever ask me for the $45, i'll just say take it from the land lord, and I just won't pay because it is not fair. I pay 1200 for a 1BR, paid 1500 deposit, i've read on this website that they don't give deposits back at all, which is really messed up. HAS ANYBODY HERE GOTTEN THEIR DEPOSITS BACK? I'm thinking whenever I do move, i won't pay the last months rent and tell them to deduct it from the deposit. If they give me beef, i'll ask my lawyer friend to write them a nasty letter. |

I have moved from a 1 bedroom unit to a 2 bedroom unit with different landlords (although neither one was the Watergate Management company). My wife and I definitely got our deposit back. We've had very positive experiences at both units. The security guards have been very helpful, you get access to all of the pools, tennis courts a full service gym and a secure package delivery location for the cost of the HOA fees. Seems like a good deal to me.
