Looks nice from the outside... however, the hallways look like a run down hotel and the doors are paper-thin. The units are horribly ventilated and the only saving grace is the GYM.

Security is a joke. My car was broken into, right next to the elevator... it wasn't a quick break in. the bandit had the balls to try to steal my car over the course of 6 hours. After they snapped off the steering wheel, they gave up. Even after i contacted "Watergate security" they took 45 minutes to show up to "take a report" (dorky guy scribbling in a notepad) and that night, in an adjacent lot...5 more cars were broken into. That week, it continued into other lots. With a $370 HOA fee, you would think the WCA would take things seriously, but the "director of security" is some retired cop that could careless about the crime b/c, in his own words, "no one has been seriously attacked like in Oakland or Richmond"

Since I moved in, I've watched the influx of residences go DOWN HILL. Meaning, ghetto people that you wouldn't feel safe around. When I first moved in, it was either young urban professionals or retired people. not ghetto trash.

Watergate was an excellent place to start off, but with the way it is now... you're better off paying more for something better, and something in the same area.

Yea section 8 people are flat out nasty and the sad thing is I bet the few hard working, honest section 8ers out there are not the ones getting these nice apartments- it's the nasty lazy 8ers with baby mamas who work at these section 8 admin offices with connections that hook them up. What I don't understand about these mixed housing is that it's really a 1 way street. It was setup to benefit the "po- people", to improve their lot in life by integrating with hard working honest people, but what about giving us hard working honest living people an incentive to live with these guys and show them the light as well?

My experience is that the state agencies reward their own "type" of client, and leave everyone else out in the cold.
