Read my letter to Essex Heights apartments and decide if you want to do businees with them.

To Essex management:

My contract with you calls for my payment of rents in exchange for you providing me with a place that is inhabitable and meets health/sanitary requirements. For 20 days this month you provided me with a place that has no ventilation in the bathroom and no air conditioning and with an opening in the wall where lizards and bugs have been able to come into my bedroom. This is a small one-bedroom apartment that gets very humid, stuffy and smelly when bathroom vent and air conditioning are not working.

I am aware that replacing or fixing a wall unit air conditioner is a one day job and replacing a bathroom vent is one hour job. All I requested is that you give me a time when you want to do the repair or call me and I can come and let you in.

To date, I have invested the following:
- 27 Telephone calls/conversations with all 4 property managers at Essex.
- 12 half-days of coming home from work and waiting for unreliable Essex repair man.
- 24 hours total time off from work over 12 days for appointments with repair man that does not show up.

The bathroom fan stopped working early in the month. After 14 calls, 7 appointments with 4 no-show by your repair man and 5 visits to repair it, today I still don t have a working vent.

The air conditioner malfunctioned and leaked water over the first weekend of the month soaking the carpet, wall and my bed frame. After 10 days, 13 calls and several appointments with no-show, I now I have a new air condition, thanks to Rick, but the opening in the wall that allows creatures to crawl in, is still open. I have also showed you the marks left by the repair men on the walls with the belts and tools they used.

Given the breach of contract above, I am requesting a refund of one month rent and I am willing to forgo compensation for my time-off from work to address this.

It took them 2 weeks to fix a broken tile in the shower for us. No compensation, and an open wall with a plastic sheet covering it. Im sick of dealing with the little halfwitted girls that have no idea what they're doing. I SUggest talk to Jessica in office 2. Also, the washer and dryers in the first level have been broken for over a month. They are completely incompetent.
