Yo!

Pretty good so far

I just moved to the newer phase of these apartments a couple weeks ago and so far it's been great.
Pros: LARGE apartments, washer and dryer included, garages, allows cats and other small animals (no dogs), quiet and friendly neighbors (in our building anyway), water/trash/sewer paid and separate water heater for each unit, central air and heat, gas fireplace, Location, PLENTY OF STORAGE.

Cons: Parking if you have 2 cars

I'll start with the apartments themselves.

These apartments come with good amenities. My boyfriend and I live in their large 2 bedroom 2 bath. The living room is very very open and it's huge! You could fit a sectional couch if you wanted and a couple recliners. The kitchen is a little bit small but it will do for us because there's only two people living in the unit. The bedrooms are also pretty big, and both have large walk in closets. There's also plenty of windows and when we close the windows we don't hear a thing! The unit also came with 2 patios. One is attached to the spare bedroom and living room and the other one is attached to the master bedroom only making it a private patio. The patios are not too small, and not too large. We are very high up and live upstairs, and we get a very nice view from our patios. The appliances are all Whirlpool brand, they're a little bit old but they certainly do their job. The washer and dryer are very convenient and are quiet. They are also full sized so they're not those crappy stackable ones. One thing I don't care for too much is the electric stove but all electric stoves suck pretty much if you're an avid cook and are used to a gas stove... but I'm pretty sure a lot of other apartments also have electric stoves. Both bedrooms have phone and cable jacks. Very spacious apartments. The bedrooms are also separated from the living room which is a very good roommate situation. The bathrooms are also spacious. One bathroom is connected to the master bedroom and the other is across from the other bedroom. Both bathrooms are also pretty big. The guest bathroom across from the other bedroom even has a floor-to-ceiling linen closet. I am surprised they haven't converted these apartments to condos, they are very nice.

The location is really awesome. You are only a few blocks away from the 78 and 15 freeways... though you're not so close to it where you could hear freeway noise. A major shopping center is right across the street with lots of food places, Vons, a pet store, cell phone places, washington mutual, CVS pharmacy, blockbuster.... if you like to do craft projects, even Value craft is right across the street. The mall is a hop, skip, and a jump down the 15 freeway, and so is Auto parkway and more shopping centers. The location is excellent. Plus it's on a quiet residental street with other complexes too which are spaced far apart from one another. Most of them are up on the hill above.

Parking is okay. After 7 at night it could become a little bit of a hassle if you have two cars. Our unit only came with a single car garage and no other assigned spot. My boyfriend has a full-sized truck. It is very difficult to get into the garage with that type of vehicle. It barely fits in the garage but it works. The garage also comes with a storage cubby which is beneficial as well. The other units don't come with a garage but you have to pay $100 if you want one extra per month. But they do come with a covered spot. Everything that's uncovered is guest parking /parking for 2 cars. There is ample street parking but the walk is kind of far from the street to our apartment.

The noise levels are not very much, my downstairs neighbors are a little bit loud but they're very friendly. We don't hear anything when we close the windows. It's a very quiet neighborhood... and it's a family oriented complex. I've seen a lot of children but they don't run around unsupervised so that's a major plus. It's good because it means there's not a lot of hooligans living around us. It could be different for other areas of the complex but overall people living in or around my building are friendly and quiet.

The grounds are kept up. I always see workers maintaining it, and there's plenty of vegetation. We have a lot of ivy plants and plenty of shade trees as well especially towards the back of the complex where I live.

I feel very safe in the complex especially because I'm a young female so I feel pretty safe even walking around outside late at night. I'm not scared to take out the trash even when it's late at night or to go to my car. The area is very well lit especially where I usually park. All the units come with an alarm system which you have the option of hooking up if you want but I feel so safe that I don't even think we really even need it all that much.

The construction is good. The buildings aren't the newest thing but I love the layout of the apartment and like I said, I can't hear anything outside when I close the windows... plus it doesn't get too hot or cold in the apartment so I think we have double paned windows and patio doors.

I haven't had anything in the apartment break yet that I've needed to have fixed so I can't really rate maintenance right now.

The office staff isn't the best of the best of the best... but they are pretty nice and helpful when accommodating needs. The only thing was that our move in was a little bit rough because the carpets were never cleaned when it came time to move in, when they were supposed to be cleaned.. However, this problem was fixed quickly and the carpet people came the next day. Our mail key didn't work and they got a new one made for us on the double. They were also pretty knowledgable about the community and policies. So they are rather quick with fixing things and somewhat helpful but make sure you get on them when you have problems... and make copies of everything as always. However, if you have a bankruptcy on your credit report, they will most likely make you pay double deposit... and the deposit to have a cat is a little bit ridiculous ($500) and the pet rent is $25 per month.

Overall I would recommend this complex and hopefully my review helped out.
