It depends on where you live in the complex

I think that your experience living in these apartments depends highly on where you live in the complex. If you live in the ugly off-white buildings that you first see when you drive on Morning View, I have heard a lot of horror stories and they NEVER have any parking. Not to mention, some of their garages burned down and it took forever to rebuild them. People move in and out ALL the time there and yes, their office staff for their side is very rude. They glare at me whenever I come in to talk to the office staff for my side. And every time I go to the office for something, it's someone different each time for them.
I am in my second unit here in the phase 2 part of the complex (the buildings with the dark brown paint) I lived up on the hill last time for a year. I don't recommend living up there. It was very noisy up there and definitely not enough parking after 6 pm. Forget about getting a spot up there on holidays. Plan to park on the street. The neighbors are not friendly up there and everyone thinks it's fun to blast their music and honk their horn all hours of the night. They also love to get in fights in the common areas. If you live in the buildings with the garages underneath, especially in one of their 'plan C' floorplans, it gets very very hot during the summer. Plan to run your A/C a lot, which is very expensive. It is extremely tiring hauling groceries and whatnot up all the stairs. If you hate climbing stairs, don't get a unit in the back of the complex up the hill. Also, if you live in any unit up on the hill facing the parking lot, I guarantee you that you are going to hear at least a few car alarms through the course of the night/day. Very annoying. You will also see the cops at least a few times a month there.
Fast forward to a year later. Now I live in a one bedroom on the other side of the complex to the right of the office. I must say it is the COMPLETE opposite of my old unit up on the hill. All my neighbors are very friendly, there's always parking for our guests and for our second car. I only have heard a few car alarms and I have been living in this unit for almost 6 months. The noise is minimal. I also believe that the buildings down by the office are built better and have thicker walls because my neighbor told me they rebuilt them since the roofs leaked badly. I NEVER hear my neighbors through the walls. The only place I can hear them, is sometimes in the bathroom, I can hear the water shoot down the pipes, and when my neighbors behind me slam a cabinet door. This summer hasn't been too bad because my central air conditioner cools down my apartment within a half an hour and I only have to use it when it gets near 100 degrees outside. My apartment is shaded by many trees so it helps with the heat factor.
We think we're going to be staying here until the future calls for us to have a larger place to live. By far our favorite thing about this apartment, is the fact that you don't have to deal with taking your laundry to a facility because every unit has a washer and dryer in it. They aren't the best state of the art units and they are a little smaller compared to more modern washers and dryers. They are a little bit older... but they clean your clothes well and I can still fit a decent sized load in there. It saves us A LOT of time and hassle. One minus about living here is that you have to pay for water/sewer/trash, and that's done by AUM. I think that way of billing is somewhat unfair, but oh well. That's because people were being careless about water. I didn't have to pay it in my last unit. In a one bedroom building, the bill is around 30 to 40 dollars a month.
So all in all when we get to the bottom line, it really depends where you live in this complex. My experience was very different between both units I lived in. If you can get a unit on the office side of the complex in the second phase of the complex, you're golden. It is VERY hard to get a unit on the side I live on because nobody wants to leave, but if you get lucky, I highly recommend it.
