I recently moved out of the Lakes and it was the best thing I have done in a long time. This place is a nightmare. The management (Laurie & Lisa and district manager Heidi) have an ego problem that won?t go away. My lease came due and I was told I would not be offered a new one. When I asked why I was told, "I don?t have to give you a reason" by Lisa. In the past I had complained about maintenance workers wanting to beat up tenants. When I stated to Lisa, I did not like the service she provides and would like to call the owners, her reponse was "I will evict you so fast your head will spin". These threats are typical of this management. I informed management that I would be filing a lawsuit. Their not providing me a lease renewal is in direct retaliation for my complaining about their management. I was then offerred a lease. Ok, actually it was a piece of paper that said, I could live their as long as I stop making accusations. When I asked about these accusations I was told it was because I asked for a UPS package that was signed for by management. It is managements stance that if packages come up missing, it is your fault (even if they signed for it). I refused signing a new lease due to already paying a deposit for a new place and having purchased a storage (besides I could not agree to managements false statements). This place is absolutely horrible. There are so many more horror stories but, I don?t have the next 10 days to type them all down. Do yourself a favor..... ...don?t live here.
