I enjoyed my time at Rolling Oaks. It was a ways from the downtown areas of Fairfield and Vacaville in the quiet part of Fairfield. The staff was great. I never had a problem with maintenance. There were more kids than I thought there would be but, for the most part they are cool. You can hear people outside your door if they are a little loud. I had good quiet neighbors. I'd say a large percentage of the tennants are military professionals. (And not the crazy young airmen type, usually Junior/Senior NCO's and Junior CGO's) There was an incident where someone broke in someones apartment, and the Rolling Oaks administration was prompt in letting the community know what happened. I had head of a car getting "jacked" from a neighbor, but that could have been just a rumor. There was a local fire on one of the nearby hills on July 4th 06. That was exciting. There's no way it would have ever reached the apartments. Parking is assigned. It might be a little rough as far as parking, if you have friends or family coming to visit. I did have someone park in my spot a time or two over 11 months time. They waived the deposit for military, and I wound up paying about $100 to have it cleaned up at the end of my lease. It was a little on the pricey side. But I'd rather have paid the extra money than have to worry about my safety. Got several compliments on my apartment from friends. Pool area is nice. If you are a late sleeper you might get woken up by the lawn mowers and trimmers, they come around every week or two. Overall I was happy with my experience, and would recommend it to any of my friends, family or colleagues.
