I have lived in Folsom Ranch Apt. going on 19 years. I have been through 5 sales of this complex and 5 different sets of Managers & staff, and I can honestly say, the Managers here are incompetent and and desperately need an attitude ajustment! I have never bounced a check in 19 years, but was late 5 hours on a rent check 4 months ago and was charged $50.00. Since I am on a fixed income, I asked to make payments on the late fee, FPI Management said if I did that I would have an outstanding balance next month and an other late fee would be attached, and so on and so on. The next occurrence is still pending, On my return home from the bay area March 1st )a notice was stuck in my door for a lease renewal due to expire on Feb. 38th, 2007, yes the 38th, I had plans to celebrate my birthday (Sun. the 25th of Feb. )in the bay area and would return when I could get a ride home, do to the fact my car was STOLEN from my car port at FOLSOM RANCH, this will be the second time my car has been stolen . When I went to pay my rent on the 2nd, Miss Management advised me I am on a month to month at $955.00 since I didn't get a new leased signed by Feb. 38th. Miss management told me she wouldn't raise my rent if I paid the $955.00 for the month of Feb. Being on a fixed income I told her the second check wouldn't go through, she said she would hold it, did she, NO. So the the $130.00 extra I had to pay now is costing me another $120.00 in Bank fees, was my rent raised YES cause the $130.00 extra I paid, over 12 months you could tack on to my rent which was $825.00 a month becomes $835.00 so YES my rent was raised in a underhanded way! Lovely! I decided to play their game and. I made an "appoinment "to sign my lease with Miss Management, when I arrived she was at lunch and wouldn't return till 3:30p.m.( don't know who eats lunch that late) so I returned at 4:00p.m. and she busy "waiting " for an appoinment that never showed up (the whole time I was there which was about 15 minutes.) I told a staff member who didn't have a clue what was going on, I needed to see her. So I made an other appointment for the next day at 5:00p.m. they close at 6 p.m. By the time I got back to my apartment (within 3 minutes) a message was on my recorder from Miss Manager saying that Managers leave at 5p.m. I'm sure if I made another appoimtment it would probably be her day off. This will be my 4th attempt to try and sign a lease. The next day, I get another stuffed letter in my door stating I'm pass due on the ISTA bill of $3.27, thats our water, sewer and garbage, which we mail out seperatly to Ista. Why Folsom Ranch brought it to my attention and not ISTA is beyond me. Oh, and you can tack on 30 to 40 dollars ontop of your rent for water, sewer & garbage. There are "NO WATER METERS"in the older part of Folsom nor are they
at this complex, and some people have 2 bedrooms & some have washers & dryers which use more water than I would use as a single person, how they calculate the water useage without any water meters, I would like to know' To be continued: "A Despodent Tenet" K L Kralich

WOW...I AM SORRY TO HEAR THAT. I HAVE HAD THE SAME EXACT EXPERIENCE AS THE ONE THAT YOU SPOKE ABOUT, ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME. I CRINGED WHEN I READ THAT YOU HAVE LIVED HERE FOR 19 YEARS WITHOUT BEING LATE ON RENT, YET THEY STILL PUT YOU THROUGH ALL THIS ANYHOW. I WAS THINKING THAT THE 4 YEARS THAT I LIVED HERE SHOULD MEAN SOMETHING, BUT IF YOUR 19 YEARS MEANS NOTHING TO THEM....
