I haven't moved in yet, so I can't say if its good or bad to live there...but I can say that I've SEEN the model apartments people are talking about here...and there are not all new appliances in there. The microwave looked newer...but that's about it. And the lady showing me the apartment (Jessy, I think) made it very clear that each model has different appliances and they update them as needed...but that this was as old as it gets really...and its NOT that bad...as long as the stuff works, who cares'!

HELLO...WE all thought it was NOT TO BAD before we moved in....that's why we decided to move there. It is when you move out that you get SCREWED!!!! Yes the prop is very nice and it is in a good area....but TRUST me...when you move out you will be SO sorry you ever moved in!!! MAKE sure and make a VERY detailed move-in sheet with EVERY little mark on the walls, counter-tops, carpet, windows, screens, sliding doors, bathroom floor, bathtub, kitchen cabinet, sink, counter-top, stove, fridge, EVERYTHING!!! Just trying to look out for you. Good luck in whatever you decide!!!

Thanks, I appreciate you looking out for me. I've found that a lot of people (not saying you specifically) were upset because some did not get all or most of their deposits back...from expierence I can tell you that you never will get your entire deposit back...no matter what cleaning you do, the apartment complex is required by law to clean it, even if you went through with a toothbrush getting every speck of dirt up...they still have to clean it. And a deposit is just that...it covers wear and tear...and there will ALWAYS be wear and tear on an apartment.

I work in property managment but not at Folsom Ranch. I am actually looking to relocate to the area and was thinking of moving here. Being in the industry I would like to mention that it is unfortunate that people who do receive a good portion of their deposit back do not get on-line and wrote about that. Only pople who are upset. I garauntee if people saw the pictures that are taken of these people's units who think they should get their whole deposit back they would understand why they do not.

I lived at Folsom Ranch many years ago (about 8), and I really, REALLY liked it. It was hard to get the deposit back, but as referenced above, it always is - and if you keep good notes and make a good effort, you'll get most of it back. Considering the amount of a deposit it costs to move into a HOUSE, it's not much anyway! I am planning to move in May '09, and will be moving back to Folsom Ranch. I loved the apartments and had less "apartment problems" there than I have anywhere else (and I have lived in 9 places in Folsom alone over the years!). Never had a parking issue, or anything broken into, very few loud neighbors, and I always felt very safe in this complex. It was also made very clear to me when looking at the model recently that the appliances in the model are OLD, like the ones in the apartment, and they are replaced as they break down. The model was nice, but not so nice that the regular units look bad.
