My daughter is moving back to town and my wife found an apartment for her (not Overlook). I happened to drive through Overlook yesterday and was impressed with the beautiful treed settings, it was like a park. So I asked my wife how she missed such a great place. Well she didn't miss it she read the reviews here and decided against it. Reading the reviews that were obviously from the management staff (see 5/29/05 and 9/20/05) calling people liars it started to sound kind of funny. Some one saying they overheard management saying that they need to write another review here and then the anonymous review saying that the previous person was a liar. It sounds to me like management is very angry and few tenents are happy. PS. because I haven't lived in this complex I didn't rate it, the site assigned my ratings as a default.

You made a good choice to bypass this complex. When I first moved in it was great. That was 2 years ago. After the first 8 months the appliances started to break down. Starting with the refridgerator (they require you to use theirs.) It took them 4 days to replace it. In the mean time I lost all of my food. They refused to replace that as well. They sent out nasty notices to certain tenants (but not everyone) to remove all your plants off of the balcony. These notices state remove your plants or we will remove them for you and trash them. That is a direct quote from the notices. They are notorious for nasty notes on cars, in doors etc. Just recently they are on a kick to increase everyones rents by $100 or more. Elderly people, single moms, it does not matter. Nor do the tenants!!! This complex forgets that it is the tenant that keeps them in business. The management team are control freaks with no compassion for anyone. Hey management, just remember what goes around comes around. You are dealing with peoples livelyhoods here. You can bet I will be sure to talk anyone out of renting at any BRE Properties. Why don't you sell them and turn them into condos. Dump management and get out of the business.
