We're moving out at the end of our lease because we can't stand it anymore. It takes more than one call to get maintenance out for a service call: a broken a/c unit on a 110 degree day isn't a huge deal!! Neither is water running for three days from broken sprinklers. We found our dog playing with spider that was a good 3 inches wide, in our living room!! We can hear our upstairs neighbors having sex. We can smell the cigarette smoke through our walls from our chain-smoking next-door neighbor. Other people in our building don't pick up their dog's poop, leaving us or our dogs to either step in it, or we're the ones that have to pick it up.

There is ZERO customer service from the leasing office staff, including management. We were finally threatened that they weren't going to be able to renew our lease (3 months before it expires) because we were trying to hold them accountable for their actions. We've found a house that we're going to move into as soon as our lease is up. Good riddance to them! Now we're just anticipating a lengthy process to get our deposit back.

It's too bad too because we've made some good friends in the complex...

You will NOT get your deposit back, in fact, you are going to be charged for several things. We lived there for a year...we had a professional clean, we did all the touch-up paint. They still charged us for "sanitizing" (they tell you cleaning,$60.00) and $75.00 for painting.We DID know they were going to take the cost of shampooing out of the deposit, but we didn't expect a bill!!!

I can guarantee you will not get a deposit back. They will make up anything to keep it. Document everything, take photos, get 3rd party witnesses. You will be going to court over your deposit and they will lie in court as well. Make note of every conversation. Date,time and who you spoke with. Be sure each conversation was witnessed by a disinterested third party. Have this person write down what they heard as well. I really would like if someone could get a class action going against these thieves. I had my home professionally cleaned and they still are trying to collect a lot of money from me that is unjustified.

I HOPE we get our deposit back because we paid a total of $900.00!! $200.00 due at time of lease signing, $500.00 for the first dog, and $200.00 for the second dog. I know that by having two dogs it's not as clean as an apartment without dogs, I would hope. But for them to say that it's going to need $900.00 worth of cleaning is ridiculous!! There is zero damage in our place from them!
