We tenants need to do something about these people!!! I have read all the reviews good/bad and the majority of things being said we are experiencing as well. We have 30 days left in this place but we are now dealing with Corporate. We have not heard back from them since we were told on Friday that we would hear something back on a particular issue we are having. Of course ZERO follow-up. Ghee, no wonder why the office here is crappy (look who there mentor is). Somehow, we all need to get together and do our own investigating on how we all have been treated and take matters as far as we are able while getting results. Any ideas out there from present to past tenants'

I believe a list of consistant issues is a start. Harrassment letters for the many, many lame issues that are not consistant with each tenant, mold issues, forcing out tenants with mold issues, continuous rental increases, ficticious charges for keeping deposits even when properties are professionally cleaned, what about the pet rent and deposit required that should be efficient enough to cover damage caused by pets. In fact it should be a given that these fees replace the carpets after tenants with pets leave and calculated in those fees not added as a freebee at the end. I am not sure but maybe filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, California Department of Fair Employment and Housing,California Office of the Attorney General,Department of Consumer Affairs see: http://www.hud.gov/local/ca/renting/tenantrights.cfm Everyone write your experience down and send it in. There are enough people complaining here to warrant in investigation. FYI, I have seen the management lie in court so document everything, take photos and get a non interested 3rd party as a witness. I will write my letters. I hope everyone will do the same. Just remember BRE owns several apartment complexes in the area and word has it they are trying to sell. Get on this before it does not matter any more.

I lived at this dump back in 2003-2004, had problems with mgmt also. I had a toilet that would not flush, DID NOT authorize entry until I was there, they entered my apartment anyway, saying it was an emergency repair....the friggin toilet wouldn't flush, it wasn't overflowing. I had a dog at the time and that was one of my concerns about them entering without me being there, the other, I don't like illegal's entering and snooping around my apartment when I'm not home. Had numerous issues with the noisey girl who lived above me and the woman and her useless teenage son beside me who liked to play video games with STEREO until 3-4am, then when it came time to move out, I was to be charged the carpet cleaning fee PLUS they said my apartment smelled like smoke and they would have to have it "professionally" deoderized...LMAO I got in their face and called them on all their bogus claims and ended up only loosing the carpet cleaning money and some change for a stain on the bedroom floor. But I say these apartments managers have taken advandage of tenants for too many years and its about time someone do something about their unfair business tactics. Good luck to all of you

After reading all of this I'm really afraid I'm going to get screwed over when my lease is up. It's up in a few months, and prior to reading all of the reviews, from the way they've been treating us, I was imagining being screwed over anyway, these reviews have just confirmed it all. Any suggestions on how to prevent it? haha

I not only lived at Overlook at Blue Ravine I worked there from 2007-2009. The Management was horrible. They lied to the consumer and lied to the employee's. Karen Mc Clish was one of the WORST assistan Managers I have ever had the misfortune to work with. She is rude and evil. I feel very bad for the new management coming in. They Double charged me rent for June and I am taking them to court. They kept my deposit and MADE up charges so that I even had to pay more to protect my rental and credit history. I tried very hard to help the residents when I was there because I knew how manipulative and evil Karen was. The sad part is the apartments, grounds and other staff were really great and kind. Unfortunately we had a terrible manager and even worse assistant. I would recommend you live here, but be very careful about the management you deal with there. I truly believe in the saying "what goes around, comes around...."
